We know that getting to and from school can be a logistical challenge, so we’re thrilled to introduce our two wonderful new minibus drivers, Mrs Cynthia and John Jones – known to the children as Mr John! Not only do they bring a wealth of experience behind the wheel, but they also have warm and friendly personalities that make them the perfect fit for Bishopsgate’s school community.
Meet Our New Minibus Drivers!
Mrs Cynthia – The Queen of Calm (and Cakes!)
If you’re lucky enough to hop on Mrs Cynthia’s minibus, you’ll instantly feel at ease. As a mum to four grown-up children and a proud nanny to five grandchildren, she’s well-versed in keeping things running smoothly (and with a smile!).
“I’ve worked in school transport for over 12 years, nine of those as a minibus driver,” Mrs Cynthia shares. “I love working with children, and this new chapter at Bishopsgate is really exciting!”
Outside of work, Mrs Cynthia enjoys walking, baking, reading, and gardening. And if you ever need a dog-walking buddy, she’s your person – her Cockapoo and Cavapoo keep her on her toes!
So, if your child ever comes home celebrating a particularly cheerful ride to school, there’s a good chance Mrs Cynthia was behind the wheel!
Mr John – The Adventurer with a Heart of Gold
Meet Mr John, our minibus driver for the Datchet, Eton, Windsor, and Old Windsor routes. If his life were a book, it would be a thrilling page-turner!
“I spent 13 years working in Germany for the NAAFI before serving in the army in the Falklands and Norway,” Mr John recalls. “Then, I worked at Heathrow Airport for 30 years in security before moving into care work and running my own gardening business.”
Mr John may have had an impressive career, but it’s the little things that mean the most to him – children singing him happy birthday was one such time he looks on with such special memories!
With a great sense of humour and a kind heart, Mr John is always happy to chat about the bus run and answer any questions.

We currently have two routes running from Ascot and Windsor in the morning and at the end of the school day.
